Case Studies
Designing Wa Shin An website
Identity and website design for a Tea Master based in the Netherlands. The project focuses on clearly presenting his expertise while honouring traditional Japanese visual language. Beginning with an exploration of his personal aesthetic, I developed three moodboards that bridge modern Japanese design with his Western perspective. Through in-depth research into similar tea ceremony websites and an iterative sketching process with regular client feedback, the visual direction evolved into a minimal, refined style.
The final design incorporates real-life photography from the tea room and ceremonies, with a subtle, personal touch—the client’s favourite cloud-shaped motif, thoughtfully integrated as the home icon. (2023)

Designing The Muses brand identity
Founders of The Muses Agency were sure to keep its meaning from Greek mythology, the goddessed of literature, science and arts. In addition, they wanted to look vibrant, young and professional. I started with some visual research and a moodboard to understand the type of language they are connecting their brand with. We decided on a modern design, vivid colors and something to represent the goddesses. I started sketching abstract Ionic columns, then brought in the colours. As the logo started getting a certain style, I started to make it more simple; sketching from the top of the columns, to an abstract arch, and to ragged texture of columns.. I have used lines of colours to devide the logotype, to create ragged effect horizontally; and I used some mock-ups to decide on negative space.
